A dilapidated sailboat for your anniversary - not very romantic. Finding a dead body on board - even worse.
The first book in my new cozy mystery series, >>Murder at the Marina<<, is available now for pre-order at:
Amazon (US)
Amazon (CA)
Amazon (UK)
Barnes & Noble

If you pre-order, your ebook will be automatically delivered when >>Murder at the Marina<< is released on June 21, 2018. There'll also be a paperback version available closer to the release date.
You can also add >>Murder at the Marina<< to your "Want to Read" list on Goodreads. I'm starting to get some advance reviews over there, which is quite exciting.

Honestly, I can't believe I just typed the words, "my book is available for pre-order." I can't believe I actually wrote a book. Wow, just wow. Very exciting and very scary.
I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for all my blog followers. Here's what I said about you guys in the acknowledgements section of my book:
"The followers of my blog, The Cynical Sailor, have been a huge source of inspiration. Their kind words have been so encouraging, making me believe that someone might actually want to read a book published by me one day. I've been fortunate to have made good friends (virtual and in person) through the blogging community, for which I am very grateful."
Many, many thanks to all of you!
If you're interested in finding out more about >>Murder at the Marina<<, the first in the new >>Mollie McGhie Sailing Mystery<< series, check out the details below.
Blurb
Mollie McGhie is hoping for diamonds for her tenth wedding anniversary. Instead, her husband presents her with a dilapidated sailboat. Just one problem—she doesn’t know anything about boats, nor does she want to.
When Mollie discovers someone murdered on board, she hopes it will convince her husband that owning a boat is a bad idea. Unfortunately, he’s more determined than ever to fix the boat up and set out to sea.
Mollie finds herself drawn into the tight-knit community living at Palm Tree Marina in Coconut Cove, a small town on the Florida coast. She uncovers a crime ring dealing in stolen marine equipment, investigates an alien abduction, eats way too many chocolate bars, adopts a cat, and learns far more about sailing than she ever wanted to.
Can Mollie discover who the murderer is before her nosiness gets her killed?

They are and you're one of those awesome blogger people :-)
DeleteCongratulations on your new book being published. I don't do ebooks though. I'm prehistoric I know.

There is something nice about having an actual printed book.

DeleteYippee! Congratulations to you, I've got my order in.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for that Donna! But I'm not sure your cats are going to approve as there is a cat featured in the book. They might get jealous that you're reading about another cat instead of tending to their needs :-)
DeleteSounds intriguing, but it's not what I usually read. I'm kind of stuck in the world of Children's Books, both reading and writing. Looks like a great book, though - wishing you success!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Jen :-)

Thank you so much! Of course, I don't really want to be famous - then people might expect me to post pictures of myself. But it would be great to cover my costs and maybe earn a little bit of beer money :-)
DeleteCongratulations. I pre-ordered my copy and told our dogs they would have to share ;-)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to a cozy mix of boats and mystery.
Thank you so much, Roland! That was very kind of you.
