Wordless Wednesday | Turtle Sculptures

Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:

1 - We saw these turtle sculptures outside the Hobe Sound Library in Florida.

2 - I like seeing art in public spaces.

3 - If you like turtles, our friend, Laz, takes the most amazing photos of sea turtles, along with other sea creatures.

What words does this picture(s) bring to your mind when you look at it?

  5. It seems to be a "thing" for cities or communities to pick one particular animal and have sculptures or artwork with that animal around town, and i like the idea. Art in public places is a blessing to all of us.

  8. Nice! Years and years ago my beloved Kitty Hawk, NC region had a sort of contest where life-size horse sculptures sponsored by local businesses got decorated and voted upon. Many still stand outside those establishments. Why horses, you may wonder? Because of the amazing feral Banker horse breed population. I hope Tickety Boo is healing. ~hugs~ Be well!

  9. These are great. Another cool place to see cool sculptures is at the Bok Tower (about 1.5 hours from you). Well worth the day trip!
