Wordless Wednesday | Life Without A Fridge

Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:

1 - The fridge on our sailboat is broken. Again. {Sigh}

2 - It's hard to believe that I happily lived without a fridge on our first sailboat in New Zealand. Once you get used to having a "luxury" item like a fridge, it's hard to go back to not having one.

3 - It's probably worse not having a fridge in southern Florida because it's so stinking hot here in the summer. I sure am missing having a cold can of sparking water after being outside.

What words does this picture(s) bring to your mind when you look at it?

  1. Ugh! You probably already thought of this, but what about a cooler? At least that way you could have a cold drink or two. Hang in there and try not to melt!

  2. So sorry about the fridge. I'd absolutely hate to lose my fridge and am so glad that I have one I can take with me where ever I go now.

I'd say that the picture makes me think cool thoughts - but we are in a house that is absolutely freezing right now, I have to keep turning up the thermostat. I know that is a bad thing to complain about to someone who lives on a boat on the hard in Florida and doesn't have any cold drinks close at hand.

So actually the picture makes me think - Fish Sticks - now there is something I never think about.

  3. We have two on our boat and I would be lost without them. It's hard to keep enough ice in the heat.

I looked at the food and all I thought was too much salt in those processed foods.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Ellen. ♥

  4. All I'm thinking is cool. I mean temperature not how awesome it is. Sorry to hear about the fridge. Hope it gets better soon. :-)

  5. Grats on your release!

Man, I don't know if I'd survive without a fridge. Hope things get fixed up soon!

  6. I hope it's fixed soon. My husband can drink room-temperature water, but it has to be ice cold for me to drink it.

  7. Oh, i think i could survive (not easily), but i wouldn't like it a bit and my Sweetie wouldn't last a day!

  8. We lost electric a few summers ago for nearly a week. Besides the AC, the washer, and the vacuum, no fridge was the biggest pain. And since the whole town was out, there was no ice to be bought. I missed icy drinks!

  9. I wouldn't survive very long without a fridge--hope yours gets repaired soon.

  10. Yikes! I lack your fortitude. It's obvious as I am currently snuggling my cat in a 68 degree bedroom. :)
