Wordless Wednesday | Book Covers
Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:
1 - I was recently tagged for a Facebook challenge where you post the covers of some of your favorite books for seven days. These are some of the ones I chose.
2 - I wonder how people come up with Facebook challenge ideas. Some of them are very creative. I might have to come up with one of my own, like post a picture every day for a week of the things your cat knocks off the table.
3 - They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but I do. The cover plays a big part in whether I'll read something or not.
What words does this picture(s) bring to your mind when you look at it?

I do judge a book by its cover - that cover has to draw me in or I'll never read it.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteI also judge a book by its cover. I like your choices.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
I think it's hard not to judge a book by it's cover.
DeleteLike others, I judge books by covers, and I'm usually harder on self-published books because the control of their cover is in their hands. Your covers are adorable, btw, and I like the selection you chose as your favorites too.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really interesting point about being harder on self-pubbed authors. That makes sense.
DeleteCovers and log lines. Those are the love at first sights for me too.
ReplyDeleteLog lines are so important too. They definitely make or break it for me.
DeleteI just did my book challenge today. I am not sure that I would have chose to read any of my fave books by their cover. They tend to be a little dreary (except for the Terry Pratchett which is just weird). Great cover artwork is wonderful, though. I may have chosen more records by their covers back in the day when I bought albums.
ReplyDeleteI really need to read more Terry Prachett - he's so funny.
DeleteNancy Drew! How excited i was the Christmas i was given the full set of those and the Hardy Boys. Still have them, too.
ReplyDeleteI used to get excited when I'd get new Nancy Drew books on birthdays etc.
DeleteListing the things your cat knocks off the table made me laugh. I should read more instead of pouring every free minute into writing or social media. ~sigh~ Be well!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it can be hard to find a balance between reading and writing when you're a writer.
