Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:
1 - Back when I worked in corporate la-la land, I would do my nails every Sunday before the new work week started. Nowadays, I rarely wear nail polish.
2 - Press-on nails feature in the cozy mystery I'm working on.
3 - If you were one of the people who noticed that I didn't have a blog post on Monday (like my mother), it's because I've been swamped getting my draft manuscript ready for my wonderful beta readers. But now that I've sent it out to them, we can get back to our regularly scheduled program here at the blog. Maybe we'll even have time to fit in a manicure too.

DeleteNeat picture! I'm reminded of myself in high school, when I did my nails every night to match what I planned to wear the next day. ~grin~ Decades ago I gave up trying to have manicured nails. I got fake ones for my wedding and one broke during the honeymoon, which decided me against going that route. Happy Thanksgiving, and thanks for stopping by my blog. DeleteI can't even remember the last time I did my nails or had them done. I tend to like pedicures better anyway - it's pretty much sandal weather all year around here. :)

DeleteI have my nails done every two weeks. Also a pedicure. When I look at these I think about how long they would last. Not long.

DeleteI used to wear those press on nails and one time I was slow dancing with someone and one of them stuck to his jacket.. really true and so funny- I don't think I told him..

DeleteThe '80s. I only wore them once, but removing them damaged my nails, creating ridges I still haven't gotten rid of. So I'm not a fan of those things.

DeleteIt's one of the reasons I avoided going into working in the corporate world. That and heels. I can't do heels and nails. Also pantsuits. I can't do those, either. Or meetings. Frankly, there are many things that would suck my soul if I had to work in an office. Manicures are only one of them. (unless I could be the boss and have a really fun group of people. Yeah, I want it all. )

Pedicures are a nice way to go - they last so much longer than manicures. At least for me.

DeleteOne word? FAKE. I'm not a fan of those press-on nails. I'll admit to trying them once... long "sexy" red ones to "give my hubby a thrill." HA Turned out, although he likes long nails, he didn't like the fake ones any more than I did. My stubby little nails have to settle for an occasional coat of clear polish... if they're lucky. :)

DeleteI'm not a fan of fake. Maybe that is why I never wear make-up or never colored my hair. It all seems like a hassle, time-consuming and expensive. And, why would we hide our natural features? I don't quite understand...
