Wordless Wednesday | Fun With Fiberglass
Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:
1 - We're going to have to do fiberglass repair to our boat, so a friend showed us the work he's done on his sailboat a couple of months ago.
2 - It was almost like an arts and crafts demonstration. Patterns were drawn and things were cut out. The only thing missing was glitter.
3 - Now, there's an idea - glitter embedded into your fiberglass. Even better, glitter in the shape of a unicorn. I'm guessing it's probably a really bad idea, but it's fun to think about.
What words does this picture(s) bring to your mind when you look at it?

ReplyDeleteWhat does this make me think of? Two things, lots of work and lots of money. Boats are worth it though.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Ellen. ♥
Interesting! You're right, it does look like an arts and craft project. ☺ Maintaining a boat must be hard work, but it's obviously a labour of love. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteGo for the glitter!
ReplyDeleteUse copper for that glitter!
ReplyDeletecould be an art or maybe an ark creation? A lot of work I am sure- take care!
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of the early 70's when my husband used to buy old cars to do up and sell on. He used a lot of fibreglass where the rust once was!
ReplyDeleteThe glitter would be fun but it might interfere with structural integrity somehow. Maybe, i don't know anything about it, just surmising.
ReplyDeleteOh, best wishes on the repairs. And thank you for another giggle. Be well!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby has done quite a bit of work with fiberglass... first, when he made a canoe some years ago, and more recently, to do some work on his Corvette. It's time-consuming and messy, but well worth the effort. Have fun! (Glitter would definitely help with the fun part...)
ReplyDeleteI think a glitter unicorn is an awesome idea. If not on the boat, maybe on a flag. Kind of like a pirate flag, only it warns that really fun people are about to sail into port.
ReplyDeleteThe glitter sounds like a fun idea!

Thumbs up for the glitter! It'll be underwater most of the time, right? So it's like a happy little secret. :)
