Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:
1 - Do any of you still have your Christmas tree up? Hate the thought of taking it down? Well, here's an idea - turn it into a Valentine's Day tree. Then when March rolls around, you can turn it into a St. Patrick's Day tree.
2 - We saw this tree at the Kin-Doo Family Center here in Indiantown. The two nuns who run it are such lovely ladies doing great things in the community.
3 - You know what I love about Valentine's Day? The day after Valentine's Day when all the candy goes on sale!

The best thing about Valentines Day? After the candy sale, the Easter candy comes out! Then its really hard to wait for the after Easter Candy sale. I love Cabury's mini eggs so much. Thank goodness we aren't in the Bahamas and can enjoy Easter candy this year!
ReplyDeleteNever seen a Valentines tree before. It is pretty. Our Christmas tree comes down by January 1. We are tired of it after Christmas.

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. I've a friend that keeps a fake tree up all year. She changes the decorations to fit the season too. It's adorable.

I don't think so. Besides being too gaudy for my tastes, it's too reminiscent of elementary school when we had to exchange cards with all our classmates. Ugh... I'm going to turn fifty this month and still feel grateful to be out of school. Heh... My Christmas tree is still up. ~shakes head~ I've been very slow in removing ornaments. I'll get there, though.

ReplyDeleteMs. JAI, who leaves her tree up all year, went straight to a Mardi Gras tree. Next year i will suggest a stop at Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteI’ve never heard of a Valentine’s Day tree. What a fun and “loving” concept. Are there presents underneath it as well? We don’t really celebrate Valentine, as every day should be filled with love for one another. :-)
ReplyDeleteOne of our daughters-in-law keeps a tree up year-round so she can decorate it for every holiday and season. It's a fun idea. And she doesn't have to worry about making room to store the tree!
ReplyDeleteOne year back in the eighties we left a Christmas tree up until March. I actually thought of leaving it up year round and redecorating it according to whatever holiday season it was.
ReplyDeleteFor many years my mother kept up a tree in her basement family room. She and my step-father were older and no longer felt like taking the tree down since they didn't go downstairs other than to do laundry. I liked seeing that tree every time I went to visit.

ReplyDeleteWhen candy is on sale is my favorite too! I was disappointed by the candy left at our store this year. I don't want those icky chalky candy hearts!
ReplyDeleteThe best part of Valentine's Day is the sale on the day afterwards! I'm not showing that tree to my husband. It's already a battle to let me take down the Christmas tree, and this would give him a 'logical' argument to keep it up longer.
