Wordless Wednesday | Found Objects
Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:
1 - We've been trying to go for walks each morning. I keep an eye out for traffic while Scott keeps his eye on the ground in search of treasure.
2 - One morning, he spotted this sad little plastic bighorn sheep. We placed it on the pedestal of the barrier at the railway crossing. Every morning, we wave hello to it.
3 - I wonder if its owner misses it?
What words does this picture(s) bring to your mind when you look at it?

I had probably a thousand plastic animals when I was a kid. (I still have most of them, too.) I would've missed that sad little sheep.
ReplyDeleteI love that you still have most of your childhood plastic animals!
DeleteI wonder what happened to his face?
ReplyDeleteThere's a story behind that!
DeleteAm I the only one who thinks that sheep is giving you a look? He's got some stories to tell!
ReplyDeleteHe's definitely give me a look - a look like "why don't you take me home with you?"
DeleteThat is a sad little sheep. Reminds me of the goat who ate the laundry, so he got tied to the railroad track. Then he coughed up the red shirts and flagged down the train. Maybe the sheep is keeping an eye out for goats who might meet the same fate?
ReplyDeleteI've never heard that story - love it!
DeleteHmm, I wonder how it got lost? Or, maybe it's not lost. Maybe it escaped. Or, maybe it's possessed and the child threw it away in order to get rid of whatever evil has taken over it.... Mwahaha! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be more cautious next time I walk past him just in case he is possessed.
DeleteSomeone the other day was talking about all the money they find each year while walking. I think your find is more fun.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
We found a penny on our walk yesterday :-)
DeleteI agree with Christine - I think that sheep has some stories to tell.
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me a little of a little plastic cow I had from one of my grandmothers. I have no idea why I held onto that thing for years and years. It was just one item from a tiny barnyard set that I played with at her house. I held onto it when she passed away and it used to stand on my dresser, along with a single metal tea cup from a doll's tea set.
How sweet that you kept that plastic cow for such a long time.
DeleteIt sounds like the beginning of a great mystery. Cozy even. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnna from elements of emaginette
You've got me thinking of plot ideas now :-)
Deletewas the sheep someone's favorite toy? Nice placement!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if some child is sad that his sheep is gone.
DeleteHe seems to have a lot of stories to tell.

Definitely some great stories!
DeleteHe looks sad that he has lost his owner, but glad that you wave to him on his pedestal every morning.

He seems happy to see us when we walk by :-)
DeleteIt makes me wonder if he was once someone's beloved toy. Unfortunately, i am too anthropomorphic.
ReplyDeleteI know - some kid is sad out there :-(
DeleteOur dog would bury the kid's toys when she found them. I suppose she was claiming them for herself.
ReplyDeleteThat's too funny!
DeleteHmmm, was the poor little guy discarded because he doesn't look as good as he used to? (He kinda looks like Liz's dog may have chewed on him a bit and then buried him...) I'm sure he appreciates being elevated and recognized by you whenever you pass by. You gave him a bit of his dignity back. (Now if you could only give him a face...)
ReplyDeleteMaybe we can create some sort of mask for his face, like Phantom of the Opera.
DeleteOh, how sweet. I'm sure he looks forward to seeing you every morning as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he would have liked to have met you :-)
