Wordless Wednesday | Chloe The Coconut Husking Dog
Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:
1 - Say hi to Chloe, an adorable chocolate Labrador retriever who belongs to some friends of ours. Or should I say they belong to her? That's how it works with pets, isn't it? You belong to them?
2 - Chloe loves husking coconuts. I think she looks forward to coming down to Florida from Canada to get her paws on some coconuts.
3 - I'm not a big fan of coconut in cookies, cakes, and the like, but I do like it in curries.
What words does this picture(s) bring to your mind when you look at it?

That's funny. I bet it keeps her occupied for hours.
ReplyDeleteI like coconut but it's got to be in just the right food. Like drinks!
Now that's a unique talent. I've never heard of a dog who can do that! Fun.
ReplyDeleteThis reminded me of our Little Bit. She loved to chew too and could destroy most anything in short order. Wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day, Ellen. Happy Thanksgiving. ♥
Too funny
ReplyDeletehaha, that is interesting 'hobby'.
ReplyDeleteToo bad he's not a husky....hahahah
ReplyDeleteum I meant to say to bad SHE's not a husky! ooopsie.
ReplyDeleteLOLOL!! She is a true Canuck!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

What a useful hobby! (Better than the shoes)
ReplyDeleteCute! But coconut curry? Oooh, I don't think so. lol But maybe if I come across that kind I'll try a taste. I'm not sure it's on the extensive menu at my favorite Thai 9 in downtown Dayton, Ohio. I do love that restaurant's spicy massaman curry with tofu. Yum. Be well!
ReplyDeleteI've never actually seen, or held a coconut in it's natural form.
ReplyDeleteShe's beautiful It reminds me of Big Yellow Dog saving the family from the attack of the pine cone.
ReplyDeleteIn the beginning of the previous century mattresses were made from coconut husk fibers. Is is possible she has this in mind and is getting ready for bed?
ReplyDeleteVery cute dog, Geoff.
HA! Talented pooch. :)
ReplyDeleteI get chewing on things. Digs do a lot of that. Even people like to chew on things - pencils, pens, their own lips or fingers. But what Chloe is doing is disassembling these coconuts piece by piece. It is a slow methodical deconstruction. I'd keep my eye on her.
ReplyDeleteI mean "dogs do a lot of that."
DeleteShe’s very cute! I make a pretty good Thai-style curry using coconut milk, though I say it myself as shouldn’t 😉
ReplyDeleteWhat a talent pooch! I'm sure that comes in handy.
ReplyDeleteTalented, I mean. My fingers are faster than my keyboard, it appears.
