Wordless Wednesday | Best Mail Forwarding Service Ever!


Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:

1 - Lots of people who live a nomadic life on sailboats or in RVs use a mail forwarding service which receives your mail and forwards to your current location as required.

2 - We could have signed up with an outfit like St. Brendan's Isle, which has a really great reputation, but we went with an even better option - Mom's Mail Forwarding Inc.

 3 - Yep, my mom gets our mail and forwards it to us on a regular basis.

4 - She's got a real edge over regular mail forwarding services because she goes above and beyond the call of duty. We got a letter from the IRS, so she included some Oreos to eat while we opened it. {Oreos make everything better, even tax notices.} My sister and I got my mom some wine for Mother's Day and she sent me the cork from one of the bottles because it was cute. {Who doesn't love seahorses?} She even sends interesting articles, like one about a fascinating West African guy who works at her building.

    Way better forwarding service. Cookies are always better when going through the mail. Moms rock.

    I'm currently reading your book. Just started it last night and it's very entertaining. I can see you and your sense of humor.

    How sweet! She sounds like my mother. I took care of my parents' bills and all while they spent three months traveling to and around Alaska. At least we got to spend a week there with them. It wasn't long enough to see much, but was memorable. Happy Sailing!

    1st congrats on your book release!
    i love the validation video from the previous post - we could all use more smiles and positive words, paying it forward will bring it back to us

    I don't know if I could live on boat for any length of times But maybe a week would be fine so I could have a new experience.

      Boat life isn't for everyone. New experiences are great - they make life interesting.

    Love it! Who doesn't need a few Oreos when opening a letter from the IRS?!

    We plan on having our daughter forward our mail for us. Maybe I should show her this post .. and give her the idea about the cookies!

      It's great you've been able to line up your daughter to help with the mail. It can work really well when a family member does it. Especially if there are cookies.

    Mom is always best! My Mom, before TSA, and rules, used to con airline passengers to bring me goodies. I worked for the airline then, and people would come up to the counter, and drop off fun stuff. Sigh, those were the days......

    Mine is not around anymore and sometimes I miss her.
