Saturday Spotlight | "Tick Tock: A Stitch In Crime" Book Release

In addition to the usual blog posts every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday about our travel adventures and day-to-day life living aboard a sailboat, I also occasionally post on Saturdays, focusing on things related to writing such as cover reveals, book launches, reviews, interviews with authors etc. So if you're a bit of a book nerd like I am, check in on Saturdays - you never know what might pop up.

Today, I'm super excited to feature the release of >>Tick Tock: A Stitch in Crime<<, the latest Insecure Writer's Support Group (IWSG) anthology.

When I saw that this year's anthology was focused on mystery, crime, and thriller stories revolving around a clock, something time sensitive, or something to do with a specific time, I was pretty darn excited. After all, who doesn't like stories about mysteries and crimes? And the whole time twist was intriguing.

I'm always in awe of the talent of my fellow IWSG members and this anthology doesn't disappoint. I'm partway through reading it and, let me tell you, it's amazing!

Blurb

The clock is ticking...
Can a dead child’s cross-stitch pendant find a missing nun? Is revenge possible in just 48 minutes? Can a killer be stopped before the rescuers are engulfed by a city ablaze? Who killed what the tide brought in? Can a soliloquizing gumshoe stay out of jail?

Exploring the facets of time, eleven authors delve into mysteries and crimes that linger in both dark corners and plain sight. Featuring the talents of Gwen Gardner, Rebecca M. Douglass, Tara Tyler, S. R. Betler, C.D. Gallant-King, Jemi Fraser, J. R. Ferguson, Yolanda Renée, C. Lee McKenzie, Christine Clemetson, and Mary Aalgaard.

Hand-picked by a panel of agents and authors, these eleven tales will take you on a thrilling ride into jeopardy and secrecy. Trail along, find the clues, and stay out of danger. Time is wasting...

  6. I absolutely love the cover, even though my thrill level is too low for good thrillers. So, no, I'm not planning on reading it - but yes! I'm so excited to see it out!

    1. The stories aren't really the kind of thrillers that keep you up at night. I'm a real wimp, and I had no trouble with any of them! Of course, I might be biased :) Seriously, though, these are mysteries, not thrillers, and several fall into the "cozy" category, more or less.

    2. What I really like about this anthology is the range of stories - some are more on the thrillers side, while some are cozier.
