Wordless Wedesday | National Public Sleeping Day

Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:

1 - Today is National Public Sleeping Day, where we celebrate the joys of taking a nap. . .in public.

2 - There's nothing worse than being on a long-haul flight, exhausted and desperate to catch some shut-eye, except you're worried you might start snoring and drool on the person next to you.

3 - Some people don't have a choice about sleeping in public. There are so many homeless people who don't have access to shelter at night.

What words does this picture(s) bring to your mind when you look at it?

  1. Looks like he sells food so he's probably tired from getting up so early to do so.

  2. This picture makes my back hurt. I'm too old to sleep on the bike or in that position. I do love naps though.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥

    1. I'm not that much of a napper, but I'm feeling like I'm going to need one today after reading everyone's comments about napping. It's making me sleepy :-)

  3. I might have to take a nap in public. After four days of dealing with a sick child, I'm back at work and ready to crash into snoozeville.

    1. Oh no, that's gotta be awful. Exhausted from taking care of a sick kid and then having to go to work. Make sure you don't fall asleep on your keyboard. It will leave weird marks on your face :-)

  4. I really enjoy sleeping on the beach. The sounds of the ocean and they soothe me right into a long restful nap.

  5. Why has nobody thought about a public napping day here in the cold Scandinavian hibernating period!? Great idea!

My new life includes a daily train ride to work an back and I've learned to sleep with my head upright and not (much) drooling. It takes a lot of practice and a long woollen scarf that wraps around the neck several times

    1. If I lived in Scandinavia, I think I'd hibernate all winter long. It would be too cold for me to go outside :-)

The scarf sounds like good padding for your train ride.

  6. I really enjoy sleeping on the grass, but oftentimes I fall asleep in the library haha

  7. Well, dang! I missed it! Not that I would've taken a nap in public, because I can't even take a nap at home. My hubby's got a real knack for daily naps, but if I lie down during the day, my brain goes into hyperdrive.

    That picture? OW!

    1. I generally don't take naps. I wake up more tired afterwards.

  8. Is this photo taken in SE Asia? I have seen people sleep in public in the most uncomfortable positions in less developed countries all over the world. I could never do it. No naps for me. Not even in a bed. Ever... I’d be too groggy and uncomfortable afterwards.

  9. It looked like Asia to me, as well, in part due to the motorcycle. ~grin~ I tend to be like Liesbet. And you would have to pay me to try sleeping in public. I don't trust people, sad to say.

    1. I'm the same way. Will they draw things on my face with permanent markers?
