Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:
1 - Lots of people share their boats with furry friends. These are some of the dogs that live on boats at Indiantown Marina.
2 - The first picture is of Chloe patiently waiting for her treat. A true Labrador retriever, she's a super friendly dog and always happy to see you. The furiously wagging tail gives it away.
3 - Next up is Sandy. I had already put this blog post together when I found out that Sandy sadly went over the rainbow bridge late last week. She was such a sweet little puppy and I know her loss has left a huge hole in her humans' hearts.
4 - And last, but not least is Bob. Everybody knows Bob at the marina. If they had a Mayor of Indiantown Marina, I bet it would be Bob.
What words does this picture(s) bring to your mind when you look at it?

Thanks for stopping by our blog - we love it when people come visit! We're also on Facebook - pop by and say hi!
Aww. I'm so sorry to hear about Sandy. She's a beautiful dog.
ReplyDeleteThe bit about Bob made me laugh, though. If only we could have dog mayors, everything would be better. I'm not sure anything would ever get accomplished, but maybe we'd all be happier? Maybe? ;)
Thanks for sharing these cute dog pictures! :)
Sandy was a great dog. I feel so bad for her humans. Such a tough, tough thing to go through.
DeleteAll our love to Sandy's humans. It's not fair that dogs don't live forever. All of them are so cute! Dogs should definitely be elected. We'd all have plenty of food and naps!
ReplyDeleteI think the world just might be a better place if dogs were in charge. But I'm not sure the cats would let that happen.
DeletePoor Sandy.
ReplyDeleteMy college roommate's dog was a retriever and she would sit like that with food on her nose, waiting for the signal to eat.
Labrador retrievers are such great dogs. We used to have lab mix. She was a real sweetie.
DeleteFun post/pics! They're all cuties.
ReplyDeleteI hope Sandy's humans are doing okay....
They're trying to keep busy and keep their minds off of it :-(
DeleteThese photographs remind me of all the great years we had Little Bit on our boat. She loved being on the boat with us. It's been over two years since she went to the bridge and we still miss her so very much. They are wonderful companions on boats.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
Dogs are the best companions - on boats and off. I'm sure you miss Little Bit tremendously.
DeleteBob looks like a nice enough fella to be the Mayor. We have a furry friend who used to be the Emperor of the country village we lived in - and he was a ruthless ruler for all his male subjects (but would let the girl dogs walk all over him). A very handy watchkeeper for the boat, too. The size of his ego is not affected by the size of our boat ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about Sandy. It's hard on the humans...
Bob does have a very easygoing personality :-)
DeleteBob for Mayor!
ReplyDeleteSandy is now running and playing in Heaven.
Bob is going to make a great mayor :-)
DeleteSad about the passing puppy. :( I love dogs. I have three myself, though with their high energy, I'm not sure a boat would be big enough for them.
ReplyDeleteThey'd probably need their own boat :-)
DeleteI have never had a dog as a pet. Maybe someday when we return to a land life. Hugs to Sandy's humans.
ReplyDeleteDogs are such great pets. Pure, unconditional love.
DeleteAll so cute, but sad about Sandy.
ReplyDeleteI know, it just breaks your heart, doesn't it.
DeleteDogs love their humans and good humans love their dogs. I wonder how my girl would do on a boat?
ReplyDeleteCome out and visit and let's see how she does :-)
DeleteSo sorry to read about Sandy! Very tough times to go through as her humans. Your photos are bringing back bitter sweet memories of our own boat dogs. Such wonderful companions!
ReplyDeleteI think there's a reason why they say that dogs are man's (and woman's) best friend.
Deleteawww I love all your pups! WE wish we could have pups- but it's pretty wild here so we just have an indoor cat....just the other day we had Mr Bobcat saunter by our deck...whew! https://katheworsley.blogspot.com/2018/01/wildlife-sighting-january-4-2018.html
ReplyDeleteWow a bobcat - that would have been a cool sighting!
DeleteI remember when my dad took us to Bimini when I was about 8 or so. There was this HUGE dog at the marina...I can't remember the breed, but maybe a Great Dane.
ReplyDeleteMy hat flew off of my head in a passing gust and right into the drink! Damned if that big dog didn't jump right in and get it and then climb up on a low floating dock to give it back to me!
Good memories of good times.
Thanks for sharing.
- Lisa
Aww...what a sweet dog!
DeleteAlways sad to lose a pet. I'd like a dog but hubby's not so keen and our son & DIL visit regularly with their 2 retired greyhounds so I get my fix lol
ReplyDeleteGreyhounds are supposed to make wonderful pets. I love that people adopt them after they're done racing and give them a nice home life.
DeleteInitially, I was gonna say something about how a boat is so "small" to share with a dog, and then sanity kicked in. HA! When we had dogs, a closet would have been large enough, because wherever I was in the house, they were never more than a foot away from me.
ReplyDeleteThere are already plenty of two-legged "dogs" in government, so maybe it's time for a four-legged one. Go, Mayor Bob!
How sweet that your dogs followed you everywhere. Honestly, I don't think I could live with a big dog on our boat, but lots of people seem to make it work.
DeleteI see a picture book or kid's book idea in these. Anyway, they are cute and the Mayor is just funny.
ReplyDeleteMayor Bob would be a great idea for a kid's book.
DeleteSo sorry about that family's loss. It can be tough losing a furry friend. The pictures bring to mind the three dogs we had while I was growing up. My dad doesn't like to live without one, and I'm glad he has his current little brat of a silly girl now that my mother passed away. Be well!
ReplyDeleteDogs make such great companions for people on their own. They give you a reason to get up and out the door each day and love you unconditionally. Glad your dad has a dog to keep him company.
