Wordless Wednesday | Bahamian Blue
Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:
1 - Remember those big boxes of crayons you had as a kid with all of those wonderful sounding colors? I don't remember if there was one called Bahamian Blue. If there isn't there should be.
2 - Actually, you could have a whole box of crayons dedicated just to the different shades of blue you find in the Bahamas. So many beautiful variations of blue in the water, not to mention the sky.
3 - This is a picture from when we anchored on the Little Bahama Bank after crossing the Gulf Stream from Florida. Nothing but blue everywhere you look.
What words does this picture(s) bring to your mind when you look at it?

That is really blue.
ReplyDeleteMy cousin gave me a giant colored pencil set for my birthday this year and there are SO many shades of blue in the box. I don't know about Bahamian Blue, but I've always thought there should be a puke green.
What a great present! I love colored markers, pencils etc.
DeleteBeautiful! That's almost nicer than my favourite colour!
ReplyDeleteNow I'm curious what your favorite color is :-)
DeleteYep, that is definitely blue! I agree with you about all the different shades of blue that can be found in the Caribbean.

The blues are amazing aren't they
DeleteOn the water is a wonderful thing. I do like to see some land with the water though.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ☺
It was weird not being able to see any land.
Deleteoh. man. That's some blue.
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed :-)
DeleteYou don't have to explain this one. I was lost in it and wished I could dive in for a bit. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnna from elements of emaginette
We did dive in it - very cold, but refreshing.
Deletegreat post- I remember those giant boxes of colorful crayons!
ReplyDeleteI used to love them as a kid :-)
DeleteWhen you can't decide if it is the ocean or the sky...adore.
ReplyDeleteI know - so cool!
DeleteOh, wow!
ReplyDeleteThanks :-)
DeleteLet's do a new true blue view.
ReplyDeleteAwesome. When we were on Irie, I got into the habit of taking a photo through our emergency hatch, which was underneath the bridgedeck right above the water surface. Many locations and weather situations provided different colors of blue, green and brown. :-) The Bahamas were definitely the bluest! I should make a collage of it one day.
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely do a collage of it. I bet it would be amazing
