Wordless Wednesday | Murder Is Everywhere!

Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:

1 - When we were on holiday at Anna Maria Island, we went out for a walk to the beach one morning. Along the way, we saw a large knife.

2 - Then we stumbled across this scene. Clearly it was the scene of a murder. A fight over a skateboard, perhaps? The murderer must have run away and dropped the knife.

3 - I'm not sure what they did with the body. Maybe it washed out to sea.

4 - It's possible I have an overactive imagination.

What words does this picture(s) bring to your mind when you look at it?

  1. I'd say somebody with a hangover is going to be mad he lost his football and skateboard. Unless the wine resulted in something good then he might not care...

    1. Too funny - hopefully, something good did happen and the skateboard and football were a small price to pay.

  4. Kind of like the beginning of JAWS, when the girl drops her clothes in the sand then...um...disappears. :o

    1. I hadn't thought about that before, but it is reminiscent of Jaws.

  6. I have to say it does seem weird that the stuff would just be left there. :-/

  8. It's certainly suspicious. Get your friend Nancy Drew on the case.

  9. Definite mystery on this one. I wonder if time travel is involved.

  10. The aftermath of the wrap party for the movie "Beach Blanket Bingo" -- that Annette Funicello was a wild one back in the day (don't the let mouse ears fool you)!

    1. I can totally picture Annette trying to ride the skateboard while drinking wine straight from the bottle

  11. Beaches can be scary places. Who knows what goes on at night? Did you call the police? :-)

    1. I wonder what they would have said if I called them. Rolled their eyes, I bet :-)

  12. Or possibly they just got tired after drinking and talking all night and walked (or crawled) back to their beach rental and passed out....lol.
Sadly...this is a familiar site to me...from somewhere in my memory fogbanks :o

    1. That's probably exactly what happened, but that's such a boring story :-) Of course, they probably had a great time before they passed out.

  13. You should totally be a mystery writer! (I always imagine the worst too. Like if I see a car on the shoulder of a desert road, no driver in sight, I imagine the all kinds of scary scenarios.) Have a great weekend!

    1. Abandoned cars on desert roads - that's definitely a case of alien abduction
