Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:
1 - My car is currently broken. I can relate.
2 - It's starting to seem easier to walk everywhere rather than try to fix my car.
3 - The real feel temperature was 112F / 44C the other day. It's too hot to walk. I better fix my car.
4 - I like the outfits Buddhist monks wear. They seem comfortable.

When I do have to walk somewhere I go early in the morning so it's not as bad. But it's still incredibly hot. Good motivation to fix the car.

ReplyDeleteHas your Great Machine infected the Pathfinder? Maybe some tough love / beatings need to be handed out. Too bad machines can't be manipulated with chocolate and cheese.
When we visited Thailand it was during the winter. Everyone was wrapped up warmly with sweaters etc., but for us it was still crazy hot.

DeleteI am not good in hot weather so I would have to get the car fixed. As for the robes the monks wear--looks pretty warm to me. I'd like to know what fabric they a re made of.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what they're made of - maybe some sort of cotton? Too hot for me to wear, but they seemed comfortable in them.
DeleteI love this photo! Any photos of monks using "modern" technology are awesome. When I was in China, I was obsessed with taking pictures of monks on their cell phones.

I know what you mean - I didn't expect to see monks carrying phones or having cars. We pray for rain here because it cools things off.
DeleteI would like to borrow this monk and his zen attitude for our broken truck. Cars are the worst. Maybe you can find an air conditioned coffee shop to study that electrical diagram. Best of luck! Wear your cape.

DeleteReminds me of the sense of profound gratitude I sometimes feel when I flip a switch or turn the key, and the technology actually does what it's supposed to!
DeleteI'm not crazy about driving and would prefer to walk when I can, but it's way too hot here for that and I need to get to the "big city" occasionally which requires a car.
