Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:
1 - Yes, the water has really been that green at Indiantown Marina thanks to Algal bloom. Ick.
2 - Reminds me of the 1973 dystopian movie Soylent Green which depicted what the world would be like in the far off future of 2022. Maybe this isn't algal bloom, but something far more sinister.
3 - The alligators have to be loving it. Perfect camouflage.

Nice colour but not for the water! And wouldn't want to be encouraging alligators.

That's true - there are many issues with water all over the world.

ReplyDeleteActually, the more that I think about it, alligators are a darker green, so maybe I'll be able to spot them better in the alga bloom :-)

ReplyDeleteI know! I was kitty sitting a few weeks back and the cat fell in the water. Imagine how gross kitty would have been if she had fallen into this stuff. Ick.
DeleteYuck indeed. Looks radio-active, but still looks better than some of the water we have seen in other places. Can you paint with it? :-)

DeleteI did an oral report in a university classroom a couple of years ago, and used Soylent Green as a example. None of the "youngsters" in the class knew the reference. I feel old.... Otherwise, I'm with the others here...ewwwww.
