Everyone thinks I'm the boat guy, but it's my wife who loves boats. I found a boat she fell in love with, and it has a nice place for us to sleep while we are floating on the water during our vacations. She's so happy with our new boat!

Kent Garner @ Whites Marine CenterAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07113144948589702706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1717926498377706091.post-60326616566868038652015-09-01T08:18:15.362-07:002015-09-01T08:18:15.362-07:00Wow - I'm really surprised by that. The first level below deck is fitted out as a museum; the ceiling height here is raised for the comfort of visitors. To keep the overall dimensions true, the height that was given to that deck was taken from -- you guessed it -- the crew areas. Every single one of us, except 4'-11" B., has hit their head in the galley. Even the guy who helped BUILD the boat six years ago (you'd think he'd know, yes?). OTOH, our sailboat was designed by a guy who was 6'-4" and we have lots of headroom. Except the cabinet over the galley sink, Dan still bangs his head on that one. What can I say; sailors are a hard-headed lot?
Dan N Jayehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17910909942198901223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1717926498377706091.post-82337952467790405382015-08-26T04:33:16.059-07:002015-08-26T04:33:16.059-07:00Right after I wrote this, I hit my head again. He's 6'3. At 5'3" I manage to hit my head more than I'd like to admit. Oh, the joys of boat living! Not as bad as you do however. We sold our boat quite a while ago, but I thought the cabin door was taller than that. My problem wasn't the top, but rather tripping over the bottom.
