Wordless Wednesday | Norway

Wordless Wednesday is supposed to be about posting a photo(s) without any words. But, I'm a rule breaker, so here are a few words:

1 - We've been to Norway a few times, which is kind of cool because Scott is Norwegian-American (with a little Swede thrown in for good measure).

2 - My big takeaway from my time in Norway - it's cold. Really, really cold. I can see why Norwegians who came to America felt right at home settling in Minnesota and North Dakota. It's cold there too.

3 - I love that big crying baby sculpture. We saw it at the Vigeland Park in Oslo, along with some other weird and wonderful sculptures.

What words does this picture(s) bring to your mind when you look at it?

  3. I've never been to Norway, but my husband's family is from there, so maybe we will go visit in the future. It's definitely on my bucket list anyway. How long were you in Norway? And would you return?

    1. That would be neat to go back there since your hubby's family comes from Norway. I've been there twice - the first time was for a few days (cheap EasyJet tickets from Glasgow) and the second time was for a day on a Cities of the Baltic Cruise. My hubby has also been there a third time for family stuff. I think he ended up being there for a month or so.

  4. Looks like you saw some cool stuff. The baby is probably crying because it's cold and he's naked.

    1. Yeah, I think the baby is wishing he lived someplace warm :-)

  5. I loved them. The sculptor really caught the two-year-old in action. ;-)

    1. Actually, you're right - he probably is more of a toddler-age and not a baby. Either way, he was a very interesting and slightly creepy sculpture.

    1. We went to an outdoor museum that had all of these old wooden buildings. It was very cool.

  7. Norway would be nice to visit, i could not live through the cold winter. The baby statue makes me want to pick him up and bundle him in blankets and get him warm again!

  8. Norway is one of my absolute favourite countries in the world, and possible the most beautiful. I can’t decide whether I like Norway or New Zealand better, but Norway is just an hour’s flight from where I live so it’s a lot easier to visit! We hope to sail to Norway in a few years time, hopefully as far as Svalbard but the Lofoten Islands are incredible too!

  12. Wow! Great pictures. The church is especially intriguing. The crosses tell me it's a church, but the architectural lines look more like an Oriental temple.

I agree with Alex. No wonder that baby is crying!

  16. I love Alex’s comment about the baby. :-) I’ve only been to Norway once on a family vacation (the last one I joined) when I was 17. It is an interesting country. We went in the summer, so I didn’t notice too much cold. All my next travels were without parents. :-)

    1. Ah, you're of Norwegian descent, so the big question is do you like lutefisk and lefse?

  19. Hi My name is Rebecca.i just want to share my experience with the world on how i got my love back and saved my marriage… I was married for 7 years with 4 kids and we lived happily until things started getting ugly and we had a fights and arguments almost every time… it got worse at a point that he filed for divorce… I tried my best to make him change his mind & stay with me cause i loved him with all my heart and didn’t want to loose him but everything just didn’t work out… he moved out of the house and still went ahead to file for divorce… I pleaded and tried everything but still nothing worked. The breakthrough came when someone introduced me to this wonderful, great spell caster Dr Zuma, who eventually helped me out… I have never been a fan of things like this but just decided to try reluctantly cause I was desperate and left with no choice… He did special prayers and cast a love spell on him. Within 24hours he called me and was sorry for all the emotional trauma he had cost me, moved back to the house and we continue to live happily, the kids are happy too and we are expecting our fourth child… I have introduced him to a lot of couples with problems across the world and they have had good news… Just thought I should share my experience cause I strongly believe someone out there needs it… You can contact him on spiritualherbalisthealing@gmail.com whatsapp +15068001647
